Unlike other exercise Yoga works from the inside out. Asana practise works the entire body. The endocrine system, adrenal system, skeletal system, respiratory, nervous system and can help to calm the mind and help to reduce blood pressure, whilst increasing your flexibility.
The most important aspect of yoga is that you make your practise your own. Paying full attention to your breath and how your body feels, moves and changes. Every body is different it is essential that you focus your attention on your own body in your own mind and on you own mat .
You will be aware of some of the yoga styles practised around the word including, Hatha, Ayengar, Yin, Ashtanga and many more.The Yoga we practise at La Duna is based on the Shivananda sequence which dates back to 1887 although yoga has been practised for over 5,000 years.
